Create Convertible Tool Pouch
Made in: Haiti
Artisan Group: 2nd Story Goods
Designed with the active maker in mind, this roll-up tool pouch also doubles as a half apron. Travel with it anywhere with all your things rolled up and wear it around your waist when you are using it. We LOVE this design! So versatile! The pockets range in size from small enough to hold a few fine brushes or pens to big enough for a large cell phone.
FMSC MarketPlace partner 2nd Story Goods began sewing way back in 2011. Today, their in-house sewing group is made up of two men and four women. Most of their fabric is bought and up-cycled from the surplus in the local market. If you ever find yourself at their homebase in Gonaives, joyful singing and laughter can often be heard in conjunction with the hum of the sewing machines. It is one of their very favorite sounds!
Josias is the local screen-printer who makes 2nd Story Goods' word patches. His method involves taking the design and transferring it to his DYI screen using emulsion and a few long minutes exposed to the Caribbean sunshine!
-dimensions: 18” x 18”
