Magazine Long Necklace
Made in: Uganda
Artisan Group: Hope Again Women's Ministry
This beautiful, long necklace was handmade by the Hope Again Women’s Project in Rakai, Uganda – where the first case of AIDS in the world was diagnosed. The women cut recycled magazines into strips, roll them into beads, and then shellac them.
This necklace comes in a variety of bright, multi-colored beads, and can be wrapped once, twice, or three times around depending on the look you'd like.
Length: Approx. 26 inches long
This item is handmade by Hope Again Women's Ministry, a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) artisan partner in Uganda.
